The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level CICD Engineer to join a distributed team of engineers and architects working closely with our Cyber Systems and IT business partners to architect, develop, deploy, administer, and maintain CICD environments to support DoD software test and development across the Boeing Enterprise. We seek candidates who have proven skills in cloud architecture, DevOps, software development, software test and infrastructure as code. This position will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of embedded software defense mission computing development team.

Position responsibilities:

• Interfacing with Defense Mission Computing software development team in the planning and deployment of the Boeing Software Factory and other toolchains and components
• Integration of cloud environments to support product software development
• Collaborating closely with our IT and cybersecurity colleagues to ensure cost-effective, timely, and secure deployment of the environment and its tools
• Conduct evaluations, trade studies, and strategy discussions regarding cloud environments
• Ensure consistent DevSecOps deployments into cloud environments

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
• 3 years experience designing cloud architectures in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• 3 years experience with network layer cloud technologies such as VPC or Transit Gateway
• 1 years experience writing infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation
• 1 years experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Salt
• 3 years experience working with and supporting Linux systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Strong programming skills in at least one high-level language such as Java, Python, Go, or C
• Experience with security and monitoring cloud technologies such as IAM, GuardDuty, or Security Hub (or equivalent)
• Experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with mission systems on tactical platforms
• Strong Working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools
• Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment
• Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/microservice infrastructure
• Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset
• Understanding of security frameworks such as DoD RMF, CMMC, DFARS, and FedRAMP
• 3 years experience working with CMake
