Must be able to read and interpret engineering 3D models, be familiar with GD&T and how to inspect in accordance with the data. Performs inspections using FARO portable CMM to establish conformity of product using Verisurf software. Perform inspections and create inspection reports on parts, tooling, and first articles. Must be able to use standard measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators etc. Must have the ability to clearly write nonconformance reports and assist in corrective actions investigations

• Operate Portable CMM, including translating and interpreting CATIA and STEP files using Mastercam and Verisurf software.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and models.
• Be familiar with Model-Based GD&T Inspection technology and all-new computer-aided inspection.
• Competent in using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators.
• Understand FARO, and Laser Tracker inspections in a DPD environment and the the role of the operator in the flow.
• Perform inspections and create inspection reports on parts, tooling, and first articles.
• Able to clearly write nonconformance reports and assist in corrective actions investigations
• Review of product verification sheets and supplier test results for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Travel as required to perform inspections off-site.

• High School diploma

• 1 to 3 years

Skills:

• Ability to program and operate portable CMM. GD&T knowledge
