Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct product testing according to Standard Operating Procedures. Provide accurate and concurrent laboratory results using data capture forms and laboratory Information management system (LIMS).
  • Participate in preparation of reagents, positive controls and standards.
  • Notify Manager of any problems and participate in trouble shooting and/or test problem resolution.
  • Participate in revision of standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct routine equipment monitoring.
  • Understand and follow cleaning and disinfection procedures for all work areas.
  • Maintain supply of consumables.
  • Maintain accurate inventory logs.
  • Understand and comply with QA and Regulatory requirements (9CFR, Outlines of Production, Change Control, Deviation, CAPA, etc.). Demonstrate a visible & tangible commitment to HSE, Lean Principles, and the Boehringer Ingelheim Values in all work related activities.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution with two to three (2-3) years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with one to two (1-2) years of related laboratory experience preferred
  • Solid communication skills both verbal and written
  • Organizational skills are required with ability to multi-task
  • Detail-oriented
  • Computer skills to include: Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Project
  • Understanding of compliance, QC testing and QC processes
