Responsibilities – Parts Advisor:- Work with all parts vendors to organize receiving, distribution, and storage of all parts inside the Collision Center
- Verify physical part numbers to invoices and check-in vendor’s copy of all invoices
- Mark all parts received, each corresponding line on the Parts Worksheet with a highlighter as the parts are received
- Verify all parts are correct by mirror matching with damaged parts to ensure that the parts are correct & accurate
- Order supplemental parts per shop’s Collision Parts Ordering Procedure
- Assist all technicians with parts issues to ensure on time delivery and reduced repair cycle times
- Advise Management when wrong or damaged parts are received for work in progress and provide new ETA
- Remove all parts from shipping cartons & check for damage
- Maintain clean and orderly Parts Staging areas consistent with Operational Process
- Other projects as assigned by the BodyWerks Parts Manager
Qualifications/Requirements – Parts Advisor:
Previous Auto Parts Department, Retail, or Body Shop Parts Department experience required- Basic understanding of automotive components and systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required
- Must be focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
