Let’s talk about the role!
We are looking for a passionate and organized individual to take on the role of part-time social media and community coordinator. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media tactics, managing online communities, and engaging with our audience across various social platforms. We are seeking someone with an inherent enthusiasm for the power of social media in shaping brand narratives and fostering genuine connections. This position will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with the Creative and Ecommerce teams. Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Management
  • Create, implement, and maintain presence in social networking sites including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to our industry and brand.
  • Conduct regular analysis of competitors' social media strategies, content, and engagement tactics.
  • Explore platform opportunities, where relevant.
  • Develop the brand’s distinct voice on social when communicating both product and editorial content.
  1. Community Management
  • Foster a sense of community by actively engaging with our audience through comments, messages, and other interactions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team members to address customer inquiries and concerns.
  1. Content Creation
  • Be a key contributor in briefing, key campaign development, and weekly content meetings.
  • Create simple and effective short-form photo and video content for social media.
  1. Analytics and Reporting
  • Set targets for all key social activity (qualitative and quantitative) and report back to the business on a weekly basis.
  • Use analytics to identify trends, assess the success of campaigns, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • BS or BA in Communication, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a social media role.
  • Attend weekly team meetings for approximately 5 hours per week during business hours.
  • Demonstrable experience in social media for business required; experience with managing multiple accounts using automated software (Sprout Social highly preferred).
  • Understanding social media metrics; able to interpret the results and increase effectiveness of social media campaigns.
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills­­­­­.
  • Capacity to prioritize and juggle projects simultaneously in an extremely fast paced working environment with a willingness to learn.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to relate to and work with a variety of stakeholders across teams as well as work effectively independently.

Qualifications


SKILLS:

  • Commitment to ongoing training to keep skills current and relevant
  • Strong knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
  • Strong knowledge of online marketing w/ solid understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, customer-oriented w/solid multitasking skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently on an assignment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):

  • Ability to determine business needs and Company objectives for social media presence
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
  • Practice time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
  • 3 years experience in digital marketing and social media
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms

(Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Knowledge of project management and web design best practices
  • Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds if needed.
