Description:


Analyzes and reports test data accurately. Expected to have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Expected to have high mathematical skills. Expected to have advanced computer skills including Windows. Expected to perform routine and corrective maintenance on equipment. Expected to document and report test data accurately and cognitively. Expected to complete Quality Control requirements of the section. Expected to exhibit adaptability, flexibility, self-control and maturity in work and behavior. Expected to exhibit calm responsiveness to emergency or stressful situations. Expected to recognize situations which require notification of a supervisor. Expected to communicate with all levels of management and patients in a respectful manner. Expected to assist in the departmental orientation of new employees. Expected to assume responsibility for the department/section/shift in the absence of the supervisor. Expected to accommodate scheduling requirements.

Estimated pay range for this position is $29.55- $38.41 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory, Chemical, or Biological Science with five years (post-licensure) experience in a clinical laboratory setting OR Associate degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory technology with seven years (post-licensure) in a clinical laboratory setting Florida license as a Medical Technologist in Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, and Microbiology required.
