We are currently seeking a Customs and Logistics Agent to join our Boart Longyear team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This a temporary (90-Day) position.

The Customs and Logistics Agent will be expected to manage the import and export processes for the North American region.

Key measurements of success include : Compliant Exports and Imports, moving domestic shipments, shipment tracking, and on-time delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Must have valid US Driver’s License

3 to 5 yrs. demonstrated experience in supply chain, specifically handling international Logistics

Experience and possess knowledge of Import / Export principles, processes and practices.

Demonstrated proficiency in using first tier ERP software package. Oracle / SAP transportation management experience preferred.

Strong analytical skills and a process orientation.

Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.

Comfortable with MS Office and IT systems.

Responsibilities

Completes imports and exports for North America and all related activities

Oversee Temporary Imports, ATA Carnets, and any other types of bonded transfers within the Region

Tenders shipment and schedules pick up with designated freight forwarders and carriers

Resolution management of delayed shipments, cargo claims, and carrier issues

Oversee completion and filing of documentation relating to transportation and import / export compliance

Provide supporting documentation and information upon request
