Systems Engineer for Project Planning
Boarhog LLC has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer for Project Planning at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) on the Old Town Campus in San Diego, CA to support the System-of-Systems Lead Engineer and Lead Capability Integrator in planning the execution of the system development lifecycle of projects/capabilities across multiple systems. The Systems Engineer for Project Planning, working in cooperation with the requirements development systems engineering team, will scope projects across multiple design activities to implement new requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop an integrated project master schedule that summarizes participating design activity schedules.
Identify discrete roles and responsibilities for participating in design activities (RACI).
Identify and develop Risks, Issues, and Opportunities.
EXPERIENCE:
The Project Planner must demonstrate proficiency in:
At least one phase of the DoD System Development Life Cycle.
Able to read and understand technical documentation and drawings.
Microsoft products including Windows, Office, Project.
Communication skills, attention to detail, and being a self-starter.
Multi-tasking.
Technical Writing.
Additionally, the Project Planner should be familiar with:
DoD System Development Life Cycle.
Requirements Management tools/techniques.
Test Driven Development.
Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Systems Engineering Technical Review Process.
Cybersecurity capabilities and fundamentals.
Networking fundamentals.
Operating System fundamentals.
CLEARANCE:
Applicants should be in possession of an active SECRET security clearance, or at least be eligible without restriction to hold and maintain a SECRET clearance shortly after signing the contingent offer of employment. Successful candidates must work diligently and conscientiously with Boarhog's Facility Security Officer in immediately determining security clearance status and, if necessary, immediately submitting the requisite application to obtain the required clearance.
