Position Summary

Tool Room technician provides daily production support for repair and preventative maintaince of tooling and equipment used in the various processes throughout the plant as assigned by the Tool Room Manager and Production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Repair and maintain all injection molds used at Boardman Molded Products.
• Build and repair spare parts for molding and maintenance as requested.
• Design, build and maintain fixtures, gages and special tooling as requested by Production, QC and Engineering.
• Design and build EOAT for product run at BMP.
• Repair and maintain all machines in the tool room. (CNC, Manual Mill, Surface Grinder, etc...)
• Perform insert changes per production schedule.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may require hearing protection at times. The employee is required to wear safety glasses and may be required to wear gloves while performing their duties.
