Job Overview

bo-mar Industries is in search of a janitor for our metal fabrication shop in Beech Grove, Indiana. This will include janitorial and general care tasks such as cleaning, mopping, and sweeping. For more information about our company and shop, please visit our website at www.bomarind.com. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Wipe down surfaces including countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, countertops, and furniture
• Remove trash. 
• Replenish towels, soaps, and toilet paper rolls. 
• Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum.
• Replace Furnace / AC Filters on schedule
• Be our facility’s valuable extra set of eyes—report necessary repairs, replacements, leaks, and drips as you notice them.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment 
• Light landscaping/maintenance
• Remove snow from sidewalks using snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow-melting chemicals as needed 
• Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including proper tool usage and care near large fabrications, being mindful that you will be working on and around an active fabrication shop floor. 
• General Shop Labor as needed (40% of job time) 

Requirements

• Ability to handle physical workload
• Reliable and efficient with good communication skills. This position will interact regularly with internal staff, team members, and office staff.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Ability to use hand and power tools a plus
• Valid and current driver's license with an insurable driving record a plus
