We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Major Incident Management to join our Production Services’ Service Management team. This role is located in NY, NY HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Understanding of various ServiceNow Products (ITSM, ITBM, HR, GRC, SecOps, etc.), may have deep strengths in one or several of these, and understands how the ITIL framework can be leveraged to create best practices for the customer.

• Fusion Response leads rapid and comprehensive “Response and Recovery” operations to minimize impact from a broad range of potentially business disrupting, to significantly impacting, threats and incidents, from cyber and fraud to technology incidents, weather events, terror attacks, geopolitical unrest & pandemics, collaborating with partner organizations to “Understand, Prepare, and Learn” from these events.

• The role will also involve advising and consulting on processes related to Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management, as well as the delivery of the other ITSM services.

• Following any significant incidents, team members will undertake post-incident reviews, and follow up with the necessary stakeholders to review lessons learned and drive change that will bring additional stability to the Firm.

• How to discuss production support activity at a high level including ITIL (information technology infrastructure library), monitoring, DevOps, SRE (site reliability engineering), and disaster recovery

• How to discuss common financial topics, including financial markets, equity trading, derivatives, currency, treasury, regulation, and risk.

• Scheduling, collecting client intelligence from Relationship Managers, and processing tour request for the state-of-the-art Cyber Technology Operations Center

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 8 - 10 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • 3-6 years working on the ServiceNow platform. 8 years working in Incident Management.
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 (Incident, Problem, and Change processes)
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL, SAML/SSO and other such technologies
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Flexibility to work on weekend/rotational shifts.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $79,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
