We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Sr. Director to lead our newly built Agile Practice. This role can be based in New York City or Pittsburgh, PA – HYBRID (3 days/week). 

In this role you will be responsible for:
• Providing strategic direction as senior-most executive leader in Agile Practices, serve as a role model and manager for one or more BNYM Line of Business (LOB) teams and team Senior Agile Coaches/Managers. You will hire and oversee a team of Agile Leaders in various roles.
• Championing, governing, scaling, and measuring the success of our operating frameworks.
• Defining and communicating transformation strategies and roadmaps to stakeholders, clients and relevant parties to promote change. 
• Serving as the leading expert and consultant on Agile practices, methodology and strategy across large business segments or several business lines to develop and implement new process, providing in-depth and sophisticated analysis sometime future looking to arrive solutions with interpretative thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions 
• Developing documentation and implementation / agile conversion strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to develop to meet agile delivery goals and implement processes. 
• Solving the highest impact, highest profile problems with significant business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards. Participate in in events/panels. Write white papers in area of expertise.
• Influencing and negotiating with senior leaders (across functions). Impact the business through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions.
• Communicating strategies and plans to stake holders, clients and relevant parties to promote change.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Additional preferred competencies: Change Enablement, DevOps Practices, Facilitation, Lean Methodology, Mentoring, Risk Management, Teaching, Value Realization, Adaptability, Collaboration, Decision Making, Feedback Avocation, Intellectual Curiosity, Optimism Resilience, Servant Leadership, Social Intelligence, Strategic Communication, Systems Thinking, Team Orientation
• Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 15 years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Drive Change Enablement. Knowledge of Agile Methods. Ability to drive consensus and resolve conflicts across multiple parties. 
• Expertise in Story Point Estimation, User Story Writing, and Prioritization Techniques.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
