We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director to join our Global Client Management – Banks & Broker Dealers team. This role is located in New York, NY – HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Acts as the CEO for your client franchise, ensuring enterprise focus and execution on the top strategic priorities that yield profitable growth and contribute to our enterprise strategy.
  • Manage and prioritize the pipeline of commercial opportunities with the clients, deliver on and accelerate growth objectives, ensure accountability for results.
  • Independently develops the enterprise-wide strategic plan for managing and growing existing client relationships and originating new opportunities, with a focus on driving profitable growth.
  • Evaluate and influence/contribute to deal structure and terms to optimize outcomes for both the client and BNY Mellon.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Expert knowledge of financial services industry and banks, wealth managers and capital markets client segment, including business models, players, new entrants, significant trends, and outlook
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both oral and written); able to articulate complex information in a clear and simple manner to a variety of audiences
  • Commercial focus on growing the bottom-line while mitigating/managing risk
  • Excellent ability to establish, develop, and maintain trust-based relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years in Relationship Management, Sales, Client Service, or Account Management in Financial Services industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree or certification preferred

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $122,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
