BMSS Advisors & CPAs are looking for talented individuals with Estate and Trust experience to add to our Tax team. This role can work from any of our four locations in Alabama (Hoover, Downtown Birmingham, Gadsden, or Huntsville) and our new office in Mississippi (Ridgeland) and/or has the remote-work option offered to all our professionals. BMSS is a Top 100 Advisory & Certified Public Accounting firm and was founded in 1991. We are experiencing an explosion in growth and have several roles we would like to fill in this area. Additionally, beyond estate and trust our services include tax planning, compliance and assurance, merger and acquisition, advisory, wealth management, accounting services, payroll, and IT Support. BMSS strives to give all clients "peace of mind" and believes in exceptional client experience.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidates will have between 3 years of experience in Estate and Trust
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with clients and staff
• Have a valid CPA
• Knowledge of and have ability to research Federal, State and Local tax codes and regulations

Skills needed to be successful:

• Prepare complex tax returns including, but not limited to Estate and Trust Fiduciary returns
• Preparation and/or Review of 1041 trust and estate income tax returns
• Provide excellent client service by producing quality work, quick turnaround and attentive service
• Compile supporting financial statements and documents
• Develop skills to attract new clients and market the company's services and products and facilitate expansion of business with existing clients
