Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY, for a 13-week contract. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures by monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining sterile fields.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in on-call rotations, consisting of 6-8 shifts per month.
• Must be available to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes while on-call.

Qualifications:

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
