Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Duration: 13-week Contract

Shift: Day Shift, 8-hour shifts (Typically either 0600-1430 or 0700-1530)

Location: Mishawaka, IN

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with hospital experience to join our team in Mishawaka, IN, for a 13-week contract position. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Compounding and labeling medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Maintaining pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed medications and supplies, and placing orders appropriately.
  • Ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure accurate medication orders and patient safety.
  • Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures regarding medication management and patient care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts, with occasional variations in schedule based on departmental needs.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician License or Certification in the state of Indiana.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Physical setting:

  • Hospital

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Overtime
  • Rotating weekends

Experience:

  • Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Required)

Work Location: On the road
