Blush Whisk in Arlington, TX is looking for a part time baker/decorator assistant to join our 7 person strong team. We are located on 2716 W Division St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, eager to learn, and a team player. The shift available is the evening shift (3pm-8pm) for 5 days/week. Some Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with prep work such as making buttercream and rolling cookie dough as needed
• Assist in preparing ingredients for cake decorating, such as coloring fondant, or preparing piping bags. Additionally, ensure that all necessary equipment, such as piping tips, spatulas, and molds, are clean and ready for use.
• Assist in assembling cake layers, filling, and frosting cakes according to the decorator's instructions.
• Help with basic decorating tasks, such as piping borders, adding simple decorations like flowers or rosettes, or applying edible glitter or sprinkles to cakes and cupcakes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cake decorating area by cleaning tools and equipment, washing dishes, and keeping work surfaces tidy. Additionally, assist in storing ingredients and supplies properly to ensure freshness and prevent waste.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, ringing up in-person orders, and making recommendations based on customer preferences.

Qualifications

• Must have prior kitchen experience
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fast paced, customer service driven environment
• Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, customers, and management
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Must be detail oriented, organized, have the ability to multi-task, and perform well under pressure
• Must be able to commit to scheduled shifts and maintain good attendance
• Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
