We are currently looking for Cable Technicians - great earning potential!!

Low Voltage Cable Technicians Job Description:

As a Low Voltage Cable Technician for BluGuard Security, you will be responsible for installing network infrastructure at our customer’s location in a timely and effective manner. This will involve working on ladders and in tight spaces, and pulling cable through walls and ceilings. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing network infrastructures, surveillance camera, access control systems. Technicians should have great communication skills with team mates and office staff.

Job Description:

  • Experience running Cat5e, Cat6, Security Wire, Access Control Wire
  • Troubleshoot cable and wire runs as well as systems installed.
  • Enhance customer experience by delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ensure quality of each job is performed to company standard
  • Notate installation, service, and repairs in detail
  • Educate customers on all services and equipment installed
  • Willing to learn new products / technology
  • Maintain great communication with office and customers
  • Must be a team player who maintain a positive attitude
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders short and tall, operate lifts and various power tools.
  • Have experience running cable as well as terminating cable.
  • IT networking experience
  • Fire alarm experience
  • Experience working with EMT
  • Great Work Ethic

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License and Insurance
  • Must be able to lift 80lbs
  • Can climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, kneel/sit/stand or bend for periods of time
  • Must be reliable and dependable
  • Must have experience for the position
  • Must have tools ( drill, ladder, fish tape etc)
  • Must be willing to learn new products and services we offer
  • Must have a reliable vehicle
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly

Related experience preferred:

Cable, satellite installation, wiring, security system alarm installation, home theatre, electrical

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
