BlueWater Federal is looking for a Jr. Project Manager / Technical Writer to gather, analyze, translate and compose technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel, in support of our Department of Energy (DOE) program in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities- Maintain an organized repository of project information and data on the project and customer SharePoint sites.
- Prepare project plans, estimates and schedules and other project documentation according to the project life cycle.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, prepare presentations, and capture meeting minutes.
- Develop and present project status reports for internal stakeholders, customers and leadership.
- Author, organize and maintain a wide variety of complex technical artifacts (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process-flows, user guides, manuals, publications and procedures).
- Gather necessary information from multiple sources to support the Government in developing, writing, formatting, and editing technical and non-technical information for reports, manuals, procedures, processes, briefs, and other forms of documentation.
- Manage an internal documentation library and knowledge repositories in Confluence and Word to ensure consistent formatting, hierarchy, and organization throughout.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Must have 10 years of relevant experience.
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance; highly desired is a TS with SSBI within last 2 years or Q clearance or SCI.
- Expert level proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in MS Visio- ability to create both simple and complex flowcharts.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat- ability to edit and format PDF files.
- SharePoint experience is strongly desired.
