HR/Payroll Assistant

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bluewater Energy (BEI) has an immediate opening for a part-time HR/Payroll Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the HR/Payroll Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting with human resources and payroll functions as needed, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company’s general administrative activities.
General Duties:
· Answer and direct phone calls
· Sort, scan and send mail to appropriate individuals
· Support shared services human resources, payroll and recruiting as needed
· Assist payroll processing as needed
· Assist with onboarding new hire and re-hire information
· Assist with benefits administration and support as needed
· Support various functions within ADP Workforce NOW for benefits, payroll and employee files
· Maintain an electronic filing system
· Update and maintain office policies and procedures
· Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
· Book travel arrangements as needed
· Submit and reconcile expense reports
Additional Requirements:
· Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
· Complete a satisfactory criminal background check
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Human Resources Assistant, Payroll Assistant/Clerk or Office Administrator
· Experience utilizing ADP Workforce Now preferred
· Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
· Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
· Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
· Attention to detail and problem solving skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
· High School degree; bachelor’s degree or additional certifications preferred
Compensation:
· Competitive hourly rate will be offered. Hourly rate will be dependent upon experience.
Work Schedule:
· Part time position working in our office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
