Bluestem Integrated, LLC-DBA Magna IV is Hiring a Shipping/Receiving Clerk Near Little Rock, AR

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for executing the delivery of jobs according to company standards for safety and quality.

This position is also responsible for accurate receiving of inventory and supplies, maintaining inventory, pulling materials for production, and keeping a clean and organized warehouse.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Know and observe all safety rules.
  • Review daily schedules and communicate with Production Coordinator in order to confirm jobs that need to ship.
  • Read the job ticket looking for special instructions and double check that the ship report coincides with the products coming from the Packaging\QC staging area.
  • Train and process shipping jobs using Fed EX Ship Manager, UPS World Ship & .com for Freight Line.
  • Help coordinate pack outs working in tandem with the bindery department. This includes staging, boxing, labeling and etc.
  • Unload trucks and check materials against packing slips and purchase order specifications. Report any shortages or substandard items.
  • Make deliveries using Magna IV delivery van or box truck.
  • File claims with the appropriate freight carriers to recoup losses on damaged shipments. Maintain a system so that these claims are followed up on until received.
  • Assist Production Coordinator to maintain paper inventory and assist in the daily paper movement accounting.
  • Issue materials using an organized and consistent staging system to production departments as necessary.
  • Inspect product and processes, ensuring that quality standards, in accordance with customer and company specifications, are met.
  • Assist management in maintaining 6s departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Enforce of all company policies and established procedures consistently and with proper documentation.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety procedures, wearing proper PPE and follow all work rules and regulations.

Warehouse Duties

  • Receive deliveries and place items in proper departments.
  • Keep up with proper maintenance on the forklift and pallet jacks and notify management of any mechanical problems.
  • Sweep floor and maintain a clean, safe and organized work area at all times.

Hours of Work

Monday thru Friday 7am to 4pm possible overtime -- On call responsibilities

This Position requires:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Need to be able to read a ruler\tape measure.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as job tickets, open order reports, purchase orders, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees of the organization.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Forklift Certification or ability to pass test within 90 days.
  • Cleanliness of work area by 6S standards
  • Recognition, support and compliance with relevant company policies.
  • Expected to be at workstation ready to work on time on assigned shifts.
  • Practice Forklift safety daily.
  • Clean driving record and dependable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
