JOB SUMMARY: Bluestem Center for Autism (BCA) is an innovative new clinic from Bluestem Center for Child and Family Development. BCA provides high-quality, evidence-based services to children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Bluestem Center for Autism is looking for an onsite Office and Scheduling Coordinator to join our team! This is a unique position where you will schedule for Behavior Technicians and BCBA staff. If you have prior experience scheduling in an ABA environment or for a large group (30-40) clinical providers and enjoy "putting pieces of a puzzle together", then we want to talk to you!
Our Administrative Support team members play a vital role in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Every team member at BCA is passionate about providing best in class support to our direct care providers, who in turn deliver the highest quality ABA therapy to our patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time
STARTING PAY: $22.00 per hour
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION: Valid Driver's License
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of medical office experience and scheduling for an Applied Behavioral Health program. Past work history as a BT or RBT and pediatric experience is preferred.
JOB KNOWLEDGE (Specific): Working knowledge of scheduling for a large group of staff and clients. Follow and implement policies and procedures of Bluestem Center for Autism related to payroll and scheduling. Follow and implement HIPAA Rules and Regulations, state and federal confidentiality laws. Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with people of all backgrounds and ages
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: In an average 8-hour day the employee lifts/carries up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 85 lbs. maximum. In an average 8-hour day the employee stands/walks 1-3 hours, sits 5-7 hours. These hours include up to 6 hours of keyboarding, data entry and phone work.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB: Office setting with standard desk and office space. Adequate light and temperature, noisy.
EQUIPMENT OR MACHINES USED ON THE JOB: Basic computers with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, E-mail, cell phone, photocopiers, scanner.
MENTAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: Must be able to manage multiple projects, multitask, work with many different personalities, able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude even amid stressful situations. People sensitive characteristics with a desire to help others.
