Blueray is currently seeking Swim Instructors in the City of Covina.We are looking for team members that are enthusiastic, customer service driven and passionate about being around water and outdoors, as it’s the BLUERAY way of life. Principal Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

· Conduct swim lessons following Blueray’s learn-to-swim curriculum.

· Assist in implementing daily aquatic facility operations.

· Regularly evaluate their student’s progress and maintain logs and provide feedback and correction as needed.

· Maintain a safe and controlled environment ensuring that all pool and class rules are being followed.

· Communicate with parents/guardians and provide regular updates on student progress and any concerns that may arise.

· Must be prepared to always handle emergencies during swimming lessons.

· Maintain swim instructor teaching aids, equipment and teaching stations are properly maintained and stored correctly.

· Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 17 years of age.

· 2 years of swim team and(or) water polo experience.

· American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification.

· Previous volunteering experience preferred.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Experience:

• Competitive Water Polo or Swim Team: 3 years (Required)
