Bluehawk is seeking a All Source Analyst to support the Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center in Washington, DC. As an All Source Analyst you will conduct analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements. You will conduct research and analysis on climate change impacts for the US Navy and author, contribute to, and brief products as required to inform senior Navy and national decision makers on the impacts of climate change to US Navy equities.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify areas within Kennedy lines of effort and analytic portfolios that could be potentially impacted by climate change; monitor and report on those impacts to include:
    • Climate change impacts to foreign critical maritime infrastructure, port and terminal investment, and key maritime chokepoints.
    • Climate change impacts to seaborne commodity trade flows and maritime economics.
    • Climate change impacts to foreign naval forces operations and strategies.
  • Author and publish written analytical products focusing on assessed climate change impacts. Production should include independent stand-alone products and, if applicable, contributions to broader products in collaboration with Kennedy Divisions.
  • Conduct analytic briefings on his or her focused area of expertise when required by the customer or U.S. Government leadership.
  • Attend conferences and working groups related to associated mission, as needed.
  • Respond to external and internal customer RFIs as directed by U.S. Government leadership. All responses shall be provided to the U.S. Government team lead for approval before providing responses to the customer

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursue developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology. Demonstrates ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks.
  • Demonstrates in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products.
  • Demonstrates ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrates analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft and techniques aligned with labor category mission.
  • Demonstrates extensive ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to Defense planners and policymaker (e.g. Undersecretary level or higher).
  • Must have at least 6 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree, 8 years of experience with an Associate's Degree, or 15 plus years of experience in the IC, with the last 2 years in related field.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
