Site Manager

Bowling Green, KY

The Site Manager is responsible for effectively overseeing and managing the activities of the operation including working directly with our customers, training and development of Bluegrass team members, working with material handlers and equipment usage, managing accuracy of inventory, developing and enforcing the highest safety standard while ensuring the highest quality customer service. Requirements

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Build meaningful relationships with customer(s), supervisors, and team leads. Meet with customer representatives regularly to provide and receive feedback on current methods of continuous improvements, status updates, and KPI’s.
  • Exceed customer expectations and provide value added services that help increase efficiencies, safety, quality, cost, and the overall morale of team members. 
  • Work with various members of management regarding production standards, customer service standards, safety training, human resources investigations, accounting tasks, and data reporting
  • Develop a highly motivated and valued workforce by directing and facilitating training (including safety training), certifications (including forklift certifications), and validation of process training of on-site team members
  • Create a learning environment that fosters and leads to the most efficient work processes
  • Conduct and oversee the carry out of daily/weekly site audits, equipment condition audits, equipment operator audits, equipment operator continuous training, performance reviews for all team members, 1-on-1 M3 performance reviews for all team members, ensuring carriers on site follow safety standards outlined by Bluegrass Supply Chan and/or customer specific, monthly completion of LMS safety training assignments for each team member, maintain metrics, and other related items and tasks. 
  • Will oversee multiple departments across our Bowling Green, KY site as well as offsite location(s) in the Bowling Green area that are a part of the services we provide for our customers.
  • Must work with existing supervisors and team leaders as well as team members with potential to lead by further educating and developing their skill sets and capabilities.
  • Must work to help grow the business by communicating with customer on their needs and exploring options that will allow us to serve those needs.
  • Must assist with the onboarding and orientating of new hires.

Education:

High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management is highly preferred.

Work Experience:

At least 5 years of management experience, or equivalent, in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or a Manufacturing/Distribution environment.
