Position Description

The Outreach and Attraction Workforce Manager will play a key role in managing and coordinating defense-related projects, with a focus on supporting outreach and attraction efforts, to include efforts in K-12 settings, conferences and more. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects within defined parameters. This position requires strong project management skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners, and a commitment to delivering projects on time, on budget, and within scope.   • Lead the development and execution of projects from conception to final deliverable(s).
  • Create/define milestones, objectives, schedules, scopes of work, and budget estimates.
  • Monitor project risks, identify potential roadblocks, and make recommendations.
  • Maintain project documentation, develop reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Track project performance, to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Consolidate project status and provide periodically scheduled updates.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the efforts of various Workforce Development Division members to ensure completion of tasks and projects.
  • Represent BFA and the Workforce Development Division at conferences, meetings, and other external events.
  • Become proficient in BFA project management software.
  • Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience.
  • Manage junior workforce team members and oversee the day-to-day needs of coordinators and associates.
  • Assist in the development of additional skills and training of junior workforce associates.
  • Exemplify day-to-day positive attitude and belonging in accordance with the “Culture Code.”
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, project management, business or a related field; or
  • 5 years of experience managing employment, workforce or grant-related projects, preferably in a non-profit or federal contractor environment OR a combination of education and experience to be successful in the role.
  • Strong experience in program leadership and management of multi-million-dollar government grants or investments requiring collaboration among multiple stakeholders;
  • Strong experience and understanding of curriculum development and outreach event management;
  • Experience in strategic partnership development with community organizations;
  • Strong understanding of workforce readiness, post-secondary opportunities and/or K-12 CTE education;
  • Strong understanding of project management skills such as creating milestones, objectives, schedules, scopes of work, and budget estimates.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Salary & Benefits

Expected Salary Range $90,000 – 120,000 depending on role and qualifications.
