Job Description:
Are you an organized, efficient, self–managing instructional designer who loves the challenge of complex subject matter and has experience working in a classified environment?
Our client requires a revamp of a large portion of their current curriculum. In response, we are looking for an ISD with experience in supporting established instructor-led curricula to guide the analysis, steer the instructional approach, and help develop learning solutions. The ISD must be able to collaboratively create classroom course materials that support field-driven performance standards, oversee and create course content, and develop appropriate evaluation approaches.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Collaborating on training plans and blended learning implementation strategies that adhere to JCITA standards and practices
• Providing quality assurance and peer reviews on design plans and instructional materials
• Creating professional quality presentation materials, design documentation, lesson plans, rubrics, tests, and scenarios
• Communicating and collaborating with project stakeholders (SMEs and government clients)
• Performing needs and/or gap analysis to determine training requirements
• Creating project plans and tracking work
• Developing observable, measurable learning objectives and associated assessment instruments
• Producing quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires:

• a minimum of five (5) years of experience developing classroom-based course materials for complex subject matter.
• excellent written communication skills.
• a degree in curriculum development, instructional design, human resource development, or education. (A certificate in instructional design with seven (7) years of experience developing classroom-based course materials is acceptable in place of a degree.)
