This position provides therapeutic mental health services primarily to youth, adults and families in accordance with best-practice standards, evidence-based interventions and individualized recovery planning. Therapies might include, but are not limited to, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Counseling services will be provided in vivo, via Tele-Video, and in person. Exemplary communication skills are necessary to interface with individuals served, accurately document service provision, and work with community partners as part of linking families to other needed resources. This position will have the opportunity to participate in and/or lead community education, engagement and outreach events and programming (i.e. groups, workshops, classes, courses).
Other responsibilities include consultation with staff as needed one-on-one or in small groups. The Counselor may participate in strategic or program planning for delivery of mental health services by this program. This position is one discipline of a multi-disciplinary team and may be the primary service provider for a given client or family system or may serve in the role of consultant.
Salary: $31.80 – $32.55/hr
