Blue Wing Technical currently has a client looking for piping and process designers. The client prefers candidates with a good understanding of piping, P&ID's, isometrics. Candidates must have at least 2 years of AutoCAD experience with Pulp and Paper industry experience .

Duties

• process calculations, FEA, pipe and pump sizing
• equipment design and material specs
• construction docs
• field verifications
• reports and summaries
• some travel required.

The client would prefer candidates with Pulp & Paper experience of other large industrial facilities.

Job Requirements

• Develop piping isometrics, equipment arrangements, and piping
• Produce detailed drawings and piping designs
• Lead work activities of piping designers to support modernization projects performed in-house or by third-party designers/firms
• Develop piping isometrics, equipment arrangements, and piping supports from piping layout drawings
• Develop utility and process piping isometrics, equipment arrangements, and piping supports from piping layout drawings
• Make any as-built changes to drawings
• Building piping plans and elevations
• Create station and terminal piping construction drawings
• Create material take-offs from piping drawings
• Perform specific piping design functions for the project, including interconnect piping and modeling equipment
• Report to the piping area manager
• Produce complex technical drawings and piping isometrics
• Understand piping design philosophy and ability to perform piping designs from time to time
• Determine piping specifications and specialty items
• Identify basic piping components in the field
• Ensure adequate flexibility in critical piping systems
• Check piping design drawing of vendor shop
• Design complex piping systems for chemical facility
• Walk down piping in the field
• Lay out platforms, buildings

Pay: $45.19 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

• Johns Creek, GA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
