Role : The Driver Route Manager supports the company in always providing excellent customer service while managing all routes, drivers, fuel, and all aspects of logistics pertaining to customer orders and deliveries.

The DRM reports directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in the development of each CSR to be a highly productive team, through continual training, regular meetings, daily check-in, fostering a positive work environment, route rides, supervising and building strong relationships with each CSR.
• Assist the GM as assigned, to ensure customer loyalty and outstanding customer service through customer visits, audits, new installs, problem solving, openly communicate and negotiate with customers.
• Leading their team to success, communicate changes and policies, evaluate route organization, project a professional image and require of their route drivers likewise, and cooperatively work with other departments at Bluewater Linen.
• Support the department so that all company policies and procedures are followed.
• Evaluate service procedures and make recommendations.
• Complete general route responsibilities when necessary. Safely operate company vehicles and maintenance, following all applicable laws and company policy.
• Assist in retention and growth, sales, promotions, proper product mix and continued customer relationships.
• Perform, as needed, all of the responsibilities of a CSR at a higher level and with a managerial perspective, evaluating the route and the CSR performance on the route.
• Perform all of the responsibilities of a Route Relief / CSR as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed by supervision.
• Evaluate and maximize routes and delivery processes.

Typical Environmental Conditions :

• Operating vehicles on public roads, working in and out of customer locations, loading areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center, or depot.
• Indoor and outdoor areas of a typical industrial facility.
• Able maintain high level of quality assurance.

Typical Physical Activity :

Physical Demands / Requirements - sitting, grasping, driving, stooping, moving equipment, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, walking, writing, speaking, hearing and ability to push carts up to 850 pounds.

Requirements

• Have and Maintain a valid driver's license and be 21 years old or over.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to multitask.
• Must have at least 4 years of driving experience.
• Two years of route management experience preferred.
• Strong writing and excel experience.
• Maintain a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety or other violations.
• Demonstrate excellent skills in customer service and route sales.
• Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more.
• Prior experience as a delivery driver with proven success in dealing with customers. Able to evaluate truck status by doing an inspection of the truck and truck systems.
• Knowledge of computer systems such as Linen Master software, scanners, delivery tickets and printers.
• Ability to handle wheeled carts weighing up to 850 lbs on various ground conditions.
• Proven experience of safely handling 26 foot delivery trucks, hydraulic lifts and ability to safely handle truck on to loading docks and close spaces.
• An understanding of customer service such as organizing deliveries, communication with customers, delivery receipts and understanding product loading at customer.
• Good time management skills along with organization skills.
• Ability to deal with customer problems in an organized and courteous manner addressing the issue at hand using analytical skills to solve the problem.
