Director of Academic Program Support
Purpose Statement:
The role of Director of Academic Program Support was developed for the purpose of supporting the
district’s efforts to ensure high-quality resources and supports within the district’s academic
programming. This position would assist with leadership of various programs related to teaching and
learning in Blue Valley with an emphasis on curriculum development, instructional resource
management and professional learning.
Essential Functions:
? Primary areas of responsibility include compliance and implementation of processes and programs
related to curriculum and instructional resources.
? Provide leadership for various areas associated with professional learning and coordination.
? Coordinate the curriculum review and revision process for specific district content areas.
? Assist with the design and implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports.
? Manage the ongoing adoption process for district instructional resources including materials
ordering and inventory management.
? Co-Facilitate and lead the district mentoring program for the district.
? Lead the research and review board evaluating outside requests for research and data collection.
? Co-facilitate and co-supervise the Instructional Design Team.
? Coordinate details associated with district professional learning days and Summer Leadership
Conference.
? Lead all aspects of summer learning across school levels.
? Oversee and complete the local consolidated plan for the district.
? Provide administrative support to Title I schools in the implementation of related Title services
? Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Five years teaching experience required. Building leadership experience required. District
leadership licensure preferred.
