Blue Star Plastics is Hiring a HR Administrative Assistant *MUST BE BILINGUAL Near Lexington, KY

Summary

The HR Assistant/Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and external stakeholders while providing essential administrative support to the Human Resources department. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all.

Responsibilities

Front Desk/Reception Duties:

  • Welcome and assist visitors, clients, and employees courteously and professionally.
  • Answer and route incoming calls, take messages and provide information or assistance as needed.
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing mail as required.
  • Ensure the front office area is always clean, organized, and presentable.

HR Support:

  • Assist in job posting on job boards and company websites.
  • Screen resumes and applications and schedule interviews.
  • Coordinate interview logistics and communicate with candidates.
  • Prepare and distribute new hire paperwork and ensure completion.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and training programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.
  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping and data protection regulations.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes.
  • Act as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
  • Support the annual benefits open enrollment process.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including data entry and timekeeping.
  • Generate HR reports and maintain HR metrics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Bilingual (English- Spanish)
  • Previous experience in HR or administrative support is a plus OR equivalent education such as an Associate's for Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Team player with a willingness to assist in various HR functions.
  • Excellent multitasking skills to handle front desk and HR responsibilities simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
