Job Description
As a member of the BCP Middletown Maintenance, the electrical technician is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing the production equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the technician will develop and implement the maintenance programs necessary to ensure the short-term and long-term reliability of the equipment, as well as lead the effort to optimize maintenance costs, maximize equipment availability and reduce unsafe conditions.

Education and/or Experience:
Language Skills:
The ability to read and comprehend documents including: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and simple correspondence. Also, the ability to communicate information in small group situation’s to other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figure’s and amounts such as fractions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding, to perform work instruction’s that are furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form also, the ability to solve problems’ that involve multiple variables’ in a standard situation.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Incumbent should be capable of driving a forklift and using power tools.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; bend; stoop; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance. The employee will be required to be capable of lifting a minimum weight of 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
