Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Material Handler is to safely, efficiently and accurately perform duties including receiving, storing, picking, packaging, shipping and inventorying cartons and pallet loads in the warehouse. The Warehouse team is approximately 6-7 hourly employees along with a working supervisor that among them complete all duties of warehousing including minor maintenance and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities for the Role

· Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantity and quality

· Load and unload containers, trucks, pallets, cases and cartons and store on racks in inventory using scanners, and inventory locations

· Adhere to inventory practices carefully to ensure high inventory accuracy

· Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials

· Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records

· Prepare materials for shipping, including packaging and labeling

· Process pick-lists and fulfill orders in a timely manner

· Label product consistently and by standards

· Collaborate with other team members to resolve any material shortages or discrepancies

· Certify on and operate walking forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials and operating them safely and without incident

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Perform daily and deep housekeeping

· Maintain the facility including light building and grounds maintenance

· Execute work orders for re-packaging or grouping SKU’s as needed

· Work cooperatively with team members to meet individual and team goals

Skills and Qualifications

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must have 5 years of experience in the manufacturing or warehouse operations

· Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally

· Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

· Ability to easily and repeatedly lift, reach, stretch and bend

· Ability and willingness to work at heights below 18 feet using rolling ladders

· Must have reliable transportation to meet the work schedule

· Normal operations hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 – 5:30. Some early arrival and late departure required to ensure efficient operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
