Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Paralegal to join our legal team. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Client intake- online, in person and by telephone

2. Determine eligibility for services- income, citizenship, case type, etc.

3. Advise applicants of grievance policy if ineligible

4. Make appointments for intake interview with lawyers

5. Determine appropriate method of assistance for eligible applicants

6. Open cases online, close cases

7. Run reports

8. Manage pro bono referrals, monitoring and closing

9. Elderlaw case opening and closing

10. Maintain conflicts of interests info

11. Serve as backup for receptionist and secretarial functions

12. Use language line for applicants who do not speak English

Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Excellent interviewing skills to gather accurate information from applicants
- Strong clerical skills for maintaining case files and managing documentation

- Must like people, have patience, empathy and ability to talk with diverse population of applicants for our services

- Proficiency in Office 365 and related computer skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,775.00 - $68,427.00 per year
