Blue Ridge Heating & Air is Hiring a Lead Installer Near Greenville, SC

*First year potential $60 - $75k based on performance*

*4 Day Work Week*

Introduction:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Lead Installer to join our team and lead installations of residential HVAC systems and to assist in training junior team members. The Lead Installer will be capable of leading a complete heat pump or air-conditioner/furnace change out, or mini-split installation in a resident's home following industry, manufacturer, and company practices. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Work safely following company procedures
  • Install HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer's specifications
    • Wire both line and low voltage to heating an cooling equipment
    • Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing
    • Install sheet metal and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings
    • Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment
  • Premeasure jobs to identify proper materials required for install
  • Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials required for install
  • Provide assistance to other leads as directed by management
  • Demonstrate and establish effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors
  • Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job
  • Take all readings on a machine and understand the importance of such
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle
  • Any other assigned duties as directed by management

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • EPA Certification Required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a lead installer

Key Competencies:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools

  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, frequently encountered in support of HVAC systems

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • Self-Motivated but able to take direction and be part of a team
  • Honest and dependable
  • Valid, insurable driver's license, pass a drug screening and background check
