BRBH is seeking a Substance Abuse Clinician in Alpha Jail Services to provide group counseling to men participating in a recovery program located in the local jails.

A typical day includes providing direct group counseling to 12 - 16 incarcerated men. Alpha's residential inmates spend 120 days in the program while incarcerated, followed by another 24 weeks of outpatient treatment after they are released.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of counseling and the criminal justice system, be comfortable working independently in a controlled environment, and be a team player.

Entry Level Pay: $19.81/hour. Additional compensation commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in human service field (psychology, sociology, or similar).
• Experience: At least one year clinical experience working with substance abuse and/or mental health issues. A working knowledge of the criminal justice system is a plus.
• Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): Same gender services specific to the clinician position within the country and city Alpha jail pods. (Male pods and female pods require the same gender clinician).
• Licensure/Certifications: QMHP-A is required and CSAC preferred at the time of hire. If not CSAC at time of hire, must complete requirements for the credential within two (2) years of hire.
• Safe Driving Record: Candidates must have a good driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years (including DUI).
• Background Check: Candidates must be able to pass background checks including those required by the local jails.
