Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations to provide a safe and effective workplace; promptly address and rectify unsafe conditions.
• Lead facility maintenance staff by providing direction to their team members and make decisions related to resource allocation, scheduling, and problem-solving.
• Train new technicians and provide ongoing training to existing staff on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operations by responding promptly and accurately to facilities work orders; coordinating maintenance and repair activities with various departments and managing emergency situations efficiently.
• Perform routine monthly building inspections; report routine and necessary repairs and prioritize preventive maintenance actions.
• Supervise and perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Also, handle light electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance activities, submit purchase orders, receipts, and related reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to support facility needs for events or special projects such as transportation and distribution of deliveries
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in facilities maintenance preferred.
• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and standards related to facilities maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must provide proof of Covid vaccination and booster
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
