As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of specialists, you will have the opportunity to provide support to the Equipment Maintenance Team and surrounding production areas by performing general labor duties, lubrication / coolant management, entry level maintenance tasks, and waste disposal tasks in a plant environment.

This role offers possible opportunities for growth and long-term development.

The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a willingness to perform dirty and tedious work, a strong desire to learn entry level maintenance skills, have a positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities :

• Cleaning machines inside and out
• Perform daily equipment lubrication and coolant management
• Control of stock and inventory quantities of all equipment lubricants and coolants
• Perform waste disposal activities of chips, garbage, and other process waste
• Sweeping and mopping floors and other work areas
• Perform entry level Maintenance tasks as assigned
• Assist Maintenance technicians with projects, work orders, and pm's as necessary
• Organizing and maintaining shop inventory, toolboxes, and general housekeeping tasks
• Support of the Maintenance shop's 5S initiatives
• Conduct and complete all tasks safely according to Blue Origin's safety policies and procedures
• Working both independently and collaboratively within a team of individual contributors to enable every member to succeed in their respective tasks

Qualifications :

• GED or High School equivalent and 1 to 2 years general production experience
• Willingness to perform simple, menial, and sometimes repetitive tasks
• Skilled with the use of personal computers and Microsoft Windows based applications
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting or standing for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting or carrying heavy materials (up to 30 lbs.) unassisted
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality of work
• A desire to be customer-centric and actively facilitate functional solutions with minimal overhead and in a short period of time
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.

S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired :

• Desire to learn entry level Maintenance practices and plant operations functions
• Background in and experience with hands-on skills such as machining, welding, or equipment repairs
• Familiarity using general hand tools
• Familiarity using and understanding equipment drawings, schematic, and manuals
• Experience in an aerospace environment
• Experience in fast-paced production environments
• Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
