This role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit and supports the Blue Ring program, which is focused on development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will be exposed to a hardware-rich prototyping environment that allows you to engage in rapid design/build iteration, work with an outstanding team, and experience the full lifecycle from formulation to flight in a short time.
The ideal candidate will decompose the system architectural level use cases (DRMs) and operational activities into vehicle functionality. You will handle some of the aspects of performance monitoring, working with the system budgets systems engineer. This position is successful when functions and their allocation across the system are understood and traceable through requirements and the system validation process. This candidate will deliver artifacts from the validation process, including vehicle functional and performance test plans, that are significant givers to AI&T and simulator development and execution plans that impact flight software development. To succeed, this individual will require a multi-disciplinary engineering background and make well-thought-out and justified assumptions. This role will be involved in the duties described here throughout the program development lifecycle, ensuring the functionality is well defined in the design phase and operationally successful throughout the development and deployment lifecycle phases.

Blue Origin was founded in 2000 by Jeff Bezos with the vision to enable a future where millions of people are living and working in space to benefit Earth. Blue believes we must protect Earth by moving heavy industries that stress our planet into space, and enable humanity to access space to expand, explore, and find new energy and material resources. Then we can see a dynamic and abundant future for our grandchildrens grandchildren. There is no plan B for Earth. To enable this future, we must build a road to space to lower the cost of getting there. Blue is working on this today by developing... operationally reusable launch vehicles that are safe, reliable and highly available. Every launch vehicle is designed for human spaceflight from the beginning and able to ferry payloads to space. Join the mission to build a road to space - step by step ferociously. #GradatimFerociter
