Blue Hippo is a scenic fabrication company specializing in fiberglass static figures for theme parks and the themed entertainment industries.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years previous fiberglass experience. Competitive pay based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primarily responsible for trimming, sandblasting, and grinding FRP
• Pays meticulous attention to detail
• Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed
• Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state or repair
• Works with various materials such as concrete, fiberglass, epoxy, resin, urethanes, plastic, wood, and metal
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer
• Adhere to strict standards and workflow
• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work
• Additional duties as assigned
• Ability to work with urgency to meet deadlines without compromising quality
• Flexible schedule due to weather conditions and possible overtime
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Punctual and dependable

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to prolonged standing, frequent bending/reaching/stooping, overhead work, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, respirator, gloves, harness, and/or protective outerwear are required.
• Exposure to dust, odors/fumes, heat (dependent upon weather conditions) and noise is typical.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
