DUTIES: ●Work with vocational teachers to monitor and minimize distractions and disruptions in the vocational-technical area●Consult with vocational teachers in adaptation of curricula, materials to facilitate tasks●Act as a liaison between vocational teachers in monitoring students’ vocational needs●Assist students with make-up work, homework, test preparation, organization and use of technology●Assist in reading, writing, typing for students when required●Proctor exams, quizzes and other assignments in settings deemed appropriate for individual students●Monitor activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students and inform the teacher of any problems ●Work with department teachers to deliver Ch. 74 curriculum in Cosmetology●Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students ●Actively participate in school and/or department professional development activities●Participate in department meetings as requested ●Performs other duties as assigned by the vocational director or building principal
