Position Purpose: The Senior Mechanical Engineer works within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and to leads the mechanical design of complex mechanical assemblies.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $115,000 - $135,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

• The Senior Mechanical engineer works independently, and their duties are assigned only in terms of broad objectives and are reviewed for soundness of approach and effectiveness by their peers.
• The Senior MEs design parts, components or systems requiring originality and good engineering judgment. As such, the Senior ME has expertise in one or more areas of mechanical engineering but are also required to work with other technical disciplines and be conversant with technical areas outside mechanical design.
• The Senior ME initiates both manages complex design projects and participates in design planning by making independent decisions on technical approach within an overall program. As a result, they often give technical advice to management and other technical departments or take technical responsibility for product development and design of specialized engineering systems.
• The Senior Engineer supervises a group or groups including professional engineers and other staff, or exercises authority and technical control over a group of professional staff, in both instances engaged in complex engineering applications.
• May include personnel management responsibilities.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

 Required Qualifications/Education:

• 5 years (minimum) of relevant experience
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

 Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
