POSITION TITLE: Supervisor

LOCATION: Sylacauga, AL

SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This is an entry level supervisor position for Blue Bell Creameries in Sylacauga, AL. Responsible for one or more manufacturing lines producing ice cream or frozen snacks. This position is hands-on working with equipment and manufacturing personnel on the plant floor. A 3 month training period is required in order to learn all aspects of the manufacturing facility.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise team members assigned to the manufacturing line
• Work with plant management, facilities maintenance, and other plant personnel to properly set-up, run, and troubleshoot mechanical operations.
• Prepare documentation and conduct efficiency checks in the manufacturing operation
• Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed (adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice)
• Ensure occupational safety of team members (adherence to company safety policies)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree (particularly in a relevant field such as agricultural, scientific, etc.)
• Relative working experience with manufacturing or similar industry
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
