Duties

• Provides nursing and nursing-related services to residents consistent with their comprehensive assessment and plan of care.
• Assists each resident to maintain independence and control to the greatest extent possible
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents in the delivery of services to them
• Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment; 
• Reports environmental deficiencies to the charge nurse such as lighting or equipment problems.
• Answers residents’ call bells promptly and courteously.
• Lifts, moves and transports residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.
• Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures, as instructed. Assists residents to walk with or without self-help devices, as instructed.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate required
• Must be at least 18 years old and above
• Proof of COVID vaccination
• Proof of TB test
• Ability to undergo a background check and drug test
• Physical endurance - able to lift, transfer, and move patients
• BLS/First Aid Certification
