Summary

A Quality Inspector is a professional who ensures manufactured products meet requirements using tools and guidelines. They inspect and verify product quality, ensuring it meets standards before reaching the consumer.

Essential Functions

• Prepare routine quality assessments on incoming materials and finished products.
• Review plans, designs, blueprints, bill of materials and specifications to understand the design requirements of products.
• Measure product dimensions, examine the functionality of products and compare to the final product to ensure standards are met.
• Reject products and materials that do not meet Bluberi standards.
• Document inspection findings, and complete detailed reports and performance records
• Recommend process and material improvements to improve quality and increase productivity and efficiency.
• Educate the production team on quality control processes, issues, and standards of product quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required education and experience

• High School Diploma
• 2-5 years’ experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
• Have a thorough understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
• Able to use specialized tools such as calipers, meters, and gauges.
• Excellent math and computer skills
• Ability to assess and identify damaged parts and products during the manufacturing process.
• Technical aptitude.
• Keen eye for details, thoroughness and accuracy
• Familiarity with the basic concepts of Lean and Six Sigma. Certification desired, not required.
• Problem solving mentality and a result driven approach.
• Active Listener.
• Ability to communicate with production workers and management.
