ABOUT THE ROLE : Ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of general warehouse experience and is proficient operating a variety of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, high-drive lifts and walkie-rider pallet jacks. Preferred candidates will have exposure to handling soft and cased goods in the furniture industry.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Accurately record all inventory transactions using RF scanners and warehouse management system
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes
- Light assembly, pallet banding, shrink-wrapping and repackaging items
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Identify, hold and escalate any orders not meeting specifications
- Maintain safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma preferred, but not required
- Power equipment experience, preferably an OSHA approved license
- Must be able to operate independently on assigned tasks
- Experience with handheld RF guns/scanners preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift/carry 0-75 pounds frequently and 75 - 150 pounds occasionally (team lift)
- Must be able to push/pull up to 150 pounds frequently
- Must be able to bend/twist/stoop/kneel/squat/reach frequently
- Must be able to stand/walk constantly through entire 8-hour or 10-hour shift
- Must be able to hold and operate a handheld scanner frequently
- Must be able to reach with outstretched arms frequently
- Must be able to reach overhead occasionally
Must be able to work with exposure to seasonal temperature changes
