We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products to customers. Your primary duties will include packaging items, preparing shipping documents, and coordinating shipments with carriers.

Responsibilities:

• Package items according to company standards, ensuring products are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
• Generate shipping labels and prepare shipping documents, including packing slips and invoices.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring shipments are dispatched in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and completeness of orders.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping software and systems (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy packages as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
