In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Originals to New Economy.
Bloomberg Originals is seeking a Post Supervisor to serve as a team leader for our group of long form editors, as well as, to act as the central point of contact for the entire Studios team regarding media management workflows from production to ingest to archive. This role will be highly influential in developing and maintaining an efficient, seamless process for managing our content in coordination with senior leadership on both the Production and Creative Operations teams. Reporting into the Head of Production,, this person will be responsible for supervising the organization and storage of digital video content and for creating training materials for all production and post production staff. The ideal candidate has a deep love of technology and understands the need for consistent processes but can also be flexible when needed.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:
  • Function as a high performing team leader for the longform post production staff as well as primary point of contact for all post-related questions
  • Coordinate with the global digital video team to ensure proper storage of all footage, assets, and projects. This includes the entire production process including: on-set/in-field media management, ingest and organization, proxy creation, project setup, export settings, backup, and archival.
  • Create documentation outlining proper post production processes for both internal teams and external partner production teams.
  • Work with publishing manager to ensure all required archival assets are properly logged in our internal media asset management system/publishing tool
  • Create and maintain documentation for tracking all projects and the status of their media
  • Work with producers and showrunners to ensure documentation is kept up to date
  • Update documentation on a series level based on sponsorship requirements, syndication needs, etc.
  • Primary point of contact for external post production staff
  • Lead kick off calls with new hires and new production partners to ensure media is properly logged and tracked from the start
  • Coordinate wrap-ups to ensure handoff of all required assets is completed according to schedule agreed upon up front (with internal showrunner or according to production agreements)
  • Keep up to date regarding new tools or products that can improve our systems
  • Collaborate with syndication team to ensure all deliverables are ingested and archived according to agreed upon schedule
  • Keep cloud tools such as frame.io up to date and ensure media is offloaded according to schedule based on storage and series requirements
  • Be point of contact for media management issues
  • Help troubleshoot and escalate when needed
  • Track recurring issues
  • Work with media and technical teams to improve media management workflows
  • Serve as point of contact for technical teams
  • Make sure workflows are properly communicated so that the team's needs are understood
  • Make sure all software and hardware upgrades are compatible with workflows
YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
  • 6 years of digital video post supervision experience
  • 6 years experience supporting a global team
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting post workflows and creating documentation
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Creative technical problem-solving
  • Familiarity with a wide range of video formats and codecs
  • Extensive experience within Adobe Creative

Salary Range: 130,000 - 150,000 USD Annually Benefits Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
