DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF INTERNAL OPERATIONS

JOB SUMMARY:

In this newly created position, the Deputy Director of Internal Operations will provide the management and internal leadership necessary to ensure that we achieve our BIG HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOAL to uproot abuse in a generation across Arizona.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Deputy Director will oversee and direct all internal operations and grant writing, freeing up the CEO to focus on external matters such as public relations, training, and partnerships to scale BLOOM365’s national impact.

The Deputy Director’s executive responsibilities include, but are not limited to, a wide variety of internal functions such as:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization
  • Providing supervision, professional mentoring, and direction to the program management staff
  • Composing federal, state, local government and foundation grant proposals
  • Maintaining compliance with various government contracts, foundation grants and licensing agreements
  • Streamlining and/or developing systems and processes for sustainability and scalability

This internal role is essential to sustaining BLOOM365’s direct services for youth ages 11-24 across Arizona and to ensuring our team of advocates, intervention specialists, and counselors have the resources and support needed to succeed individually and collectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in in business, public administration, or other relevant field required.
  • Five or more years’ experience in a management/supervisory position in a non-profit organization, foundation, or government agency required.
  • Demonstrated expertise with government grant contracts administration, financial/ programmatic reporting, and writing/executing MOU’s.
  • Experience with developing systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Experience in the Interpersonal Violence prevention and response field strongly preferred.

Success in this role is measured by maintaining the human, financial, in-kind and tactical resources needed to effectively sustain our inclusive direct service programs for youth, ages 11-24, which include victim advocacy, counseling, behavioral health intervention, outreach and education.

OVERVIEW:

  • Reports to: CEO
  • Supervises: Program Directors/Managers
  • Status: Salary Exempt
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Salary: $75,000 annual salary to start with the opportunity to increase to $80,000/year after one year of positive results.
  • Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision, 3 Weeks PTO, 40 Hours Sick Time, 11 Paid Holidays
  • Funded By: 50% Foundation grant, 50% unrestricted fundraising revenue
  • Location: Not a remote position. Our office is located in North Phoenix.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to alternate sitting and standing throughout an 8-hour period and sometimes longer. Ability to perform all above-mentioned duties with or without accommodations.
